Will speed be an issue, a basic machine will be a slow machine with little control over temperature, it may be the cheapest option initially but going forward is the type and amount of work likely to change and require more options for quality and critically speed?

The type of printer you will be using also plays a big part in the decission making as many digital printers / presses use sillicone and or wax in with the toners to produce the high sheen (gloss) finish, and these can cause problems with the adhesion of the film to the printed work.
